With options for WEEKEND LESSONS, FIVE DAY SCHOOLS or ongoing CONTINUNING EDUCATION all of our Universal Horsemanship Training System courses are taught in an environment where the horse is allowed to express himself. Students learn about the horse’s true nature through exercises that encourage the horse to make his own decisions without restraint or force. We teach skills that enable students to act as herd leader to their horses. Because our students work with the horse’s nature instead of trying to control it, they have willing, happy, safe horses.
How our Training System Works
Weekends and 5 DAY SCHOOLS
All levels of riders welcome! Start your morning in the STABLE MIX ROPING ARENA learning the principals of the Dennis Reis Universal Horsemanship Training System.

$200 per day
School horses available: additional fee $50
Group lesson every weekend
9:00am to 12:00 noon
5 Day Schools:
- September 25th through September 29th
- October 23rd through October 27th
Signature Continuing Education
Our Signature Continuing Educational training system is non-breed & non-discipline specific. Western or English our goal is for you to trust and communicate with your equine partner excelling in any discipline you choose.
This program is an intensive, accelerated pathway for you and your horse to learn new skills that will help you excel in and out of the arena. Learn in a safe and supportive environment that will teach you how to train your own horse
You Can Earn Your Certification
Earn certification with four class levels of Round Pen, Ground School, Mounted work and Mounted refined – 16 classes in total.
When you complete all 4 levels of the Universal Horsemanship Training System: You will have created a partnership with your horse that you have only dreamed about!
You will achieve 4 levels of
Round Pen
Establishing a working partnership, how to communicate with your horse through your body language, deepen your horses trust through more stimulus.
You will achieve 4 levels of
Ground School
Riding from the ground, communicating clear intentions and leadership, introducing lateral work, desensitization techniques, ground driving, liberty work.
You will achieve 4 levels of
Mounted Work
Developing an independent riding seat, building your riding confidence, footfall and bio- mechanics of movement, lateral work, bridleless riding, feel, timing and balance.
You will achieve 4 levels of
Refined Work
Understanding vertical flexion, introducing lateral with vertical, self-carriage through transitions, haunches in, half pass, flying lead changes.
OPTIONS TO CHOOSE FROM
for your continuing education:
Your horse will be worked a minimum of 20 days each month. The days you are not participating, Dennis will continue working and developing your horse.
Lessons:
Students enrolled in our continuing education program may ride every weekend in a group lesson and in each 5 day school held once a month
All lessons are held from 9:00am to noon.
RIDE 5 CONSECUTIVE DAYS:
For out-of-town students: Ride 5 consecutive days each month your horse is enrolled in the Signature Continuing Education program.
This is a great option for those of you that want to put your horse in training with Dennis but are not local or live out of state!
Accommodations:
Based on availability- As a guest in our home accommodations will be provided at no charge for out-of-town students who choose to participate in the 5 day a month program.
